Approaches to Risk Based Testing - 2 hours and 30 minutes

There are many different approaches that can be adopted for Risk Based Testing within organisations (TMap, Heuristic and STEP to name but a few). However choosing the right approach can be daunting at the best of times and if the approach becomes too complex to administer then risk based testing is often not performed. During this session we shall explore my very simple yet powerful method for qualitative risk based testing. This is a highly practical session providing a case study to apply this approach from inception to completion. Learn when it would be most effective and also how to avoid some of the common traps that many organisations find themselves in when trying to apply Risk Based Testing.

Monitoring and Reporting Risk - 1 hour

Having identified and analysed the product risks, testing must continuously monitor these risks and report their progress to key stakeholders in a simple and powerful way. Learn a variety of monitoring techniques for Risk Based Testing and how to report the status of the risks in a timely, accurate and clear way to the project board. If conventional methods of reporting have fallen short in providing stakeholders with the information needed, then using Risk-Based reporting within the Test Manager's dashboard can assist them in making those informed release decisions for the product under test.
